Mission: The mission of the Midvale City Arts Council is to promote the arts in Midvale by sponsoring quality entertainment and by providing opportunities for Midvale resident to participate in the arts.

History: The Midvale City Arts Council has been in existence for over 20 years. Under the auspices of the Mayor and City Council, Glenn Sacos organized the Arts Council and served as chairman of the Arts Council. In addition to the chairman, the Arts Council is comprised of several volunteer members who donate their time and resources to fulfilling the mission of the Arts Council

Cultural Events:

Free Concerts: Spring (usually March or April) - Midvale City Park Summer (around the 4th of July-at Stage in the Park) Fall (usually October or November) Elementary Schools Christmas Concert (2nd Saturday in December-at participating Elementary Schools) Community Messiah Performance (2nd Sunday in December-at Hillcrest High
School)

Theatrical Productions: Missoula Children's Theatre in May at Midvale Middle School - Summer Musical in July at Stage in the Midvale City Park-Fall Play usually in October or November. Admission is $ for adults, $3 for children & seniors, $20 for a family pass. Group rates: $3/person for groups of more than 10, $2/person for groups of more than 10 that are youth oriented

Miss Midvale City Pageant: Saturday before Harvest Days for young women ages 17-24 who currently live in Midvale City. For current rules and applications contact
Ronwen Curtis at (801) 566-0185.

Annual Literacy Contest/Exhibit: During Harvest Days. Ribbons and cash prizes awarded. Rules and applications are available at City Hall starting in July the month before the contest.
