Midvale Boys & Girls Club
The B&G Club of Midvale offers after-school programs addressing educational achievement, career exploration, drug and alcohol avoidance, health and fitness, gang and violence precention, cultural enrichment, leadership development and community service.

We offer technology, a high tech recording studio, cooking, yoga, arts, soccer, basketball, homework help and a variety of other activities that change to meet the needs and interests of the teen members.

All program and activities are developed using the National Boys & Girls Club five core areas:

Character & Leadership Development
   Character skill lessons with monthly topics
      Service learning/community service projects
Peer Court
      Junior Staff, Keystone Club, and Torch Club

Education/ Career Development
  Tutoring/homework assistance
        Technology access and training
   Pre-employment training
  Job shadowing, internships, field trips


Health/ Life Skills
Communication building
Anger management and stress reduction
  Substance abuse prevention/intervention
 Personal/social awareness
 Small group/individual counseling

The Arts
Visual art projects including drawing, painting, pottery
Performing arts including dance, drama, singing
Opportunity for dispay and sale of art projects
Arts as therapy

Sports/ Fitness/ Recreation
Fitness Authority
League sports
Competitive and non-competitive sports
Recreational field trips

Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling: a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and power of influence over their lives.

Club Hours: (Hours subject to change)

School hours:    Mon - Fri  3:00 pm - 7:00 pm (Jr High/High School age only)
Summer Hours: 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Kids Cafe:         Mon - Fri  4:45 pm - 5:30 pm

 

The Boys & Girls Club of Midvale has an open door policy for registered youth, in which they may check in and out at their own discretion. Please discuss with your youth when he or she is expected to be at the program.
